Bathroom cleaning is one of the most important parts of house cleaning. But when it comes to cleaning those dirty moulds from bathroom ceilings and tiles, it becomes very difficult. It is one of the most common problems in any bathroom. Bathroom mould can cause permanent damage to your home and is a health hazard for your family. It often occurs due to warm temperature of the room, humidity from baths and showers, low level of natural light, and poor air circulation. This makes it imperative for you to treat them as soon as possible. Here are some ways which can help you in removing mould from your bathroom and prevent future growths.
Start with a Mild Approach It’s always best to start with a natural and mild approach to remove such mould from bathrooms. Use soap or warm water to clean the mould area and wait for at least two days to see if it returns. If the mould returns then use stronger cleaning methods, such as using bleach with hot water. But, be sure to use rubber gloves if you’re going to clean these mould with bleach, as it can cause skin irritation. When you start removing mould in a bathroom with bleach, use an old toothbrush or normal brush dipped in bleach based cleaning solution to scrub those hard to reach areas, such as tile grouts. Baking Soda and Soap Baking soda is known as an inexpensive and gentle cleaning agent. To remove the mould with baking soda add some liquid soap to it and mix it well with warm water; you can also add several drops of essential oil so that it smells good . Apply this solution to the mould area and clean it with a brush or a cloth. Rinse and repeat this process until the mould is gone. Vinegar It is another mould remover which is most commonly used by almost every homeowner. It has mild acidity which makes it very inhospitable for mould. To use vinegar as a mould remover, spray it onto mould areas using a spray bottle and let it be there for some time. After keeping it for some time, clean the area with hot water or a clean cloth and let the area dry. Vinegar is an exceptionally effective solution for preventing mould from inhabiting your bathroom. To use vinegar at its full-strength, do not dilute it. Also, the good thing about vinegar is that it is not harmful like bleach, as it doesn’t have any toxic fumes. The mould will never take place if regular cleaning is provided to the bathrooms. However, if you want to prevent mould in a bathroom then use exhaust fans, keep the shower doors open to allow air circulation, and spray your shower and tub daily.
